Lend A Hand was founded by identifying a need in our community to help senior citizens with routine tasks such as grocery shopping and errands. While driving, our founder and owner saw an elderly lady pushing a cart of groceries in the rain, and realized there are many senior citizens without family close by and available to help. Our founder pulled over, showed identification to the lady, and offered to give her a ride home. That interaction led us to start Lend A Hand with the intention of being able to help our senior community improve their quality of life. We love what we do and we’re doing what we love. Developing Community one errand at a time

In the digital age, we've become more connected to people around the globe through social media and the internet, but, in many cases, we've lost our ability to connect and understand the needs of those closest to us, or those in most need of human interaction. We don't have to memorize phone numbers anymore, and fewer and fewer of us ever even call and talk to each other-We send text messages, or post social media updates, send evites instead of cards. Lend A Hand was founded on the idea that sometimes the best way to actually help someone is to show up, be available, smile and listen to their needs.
Our goal is to help people in our community, especially senior citizens, who perhaps have been left behind because their communication skills were developed long before the internet and computers existed. Or perhaps, they still rely on establishing a relationship through handshakes and smiles and face to face communication, not friend requests. We want to help people, regardless of income or social standing, and interject some humanity into a technology driven society. We also are aware that asking for someone to lend a hand to run errands, pick up a forgotten school lunch, or accompanying an elderly or disabled loved one to a doctor's appointment or religious service means acknowledging we aren't super people capable of doing it all, all the time, but are, in fact, human, with limitations, and asking for help isn't a sign of weakness, it's a sign of strength.
Lend A Hand will be here, and we're willing to help, without judgment, and with gratitude, a smile, and resourceful mentality to help you, or someone you know, with many different services. We wear many hats, and we're in the happiness bringing business. We truly are loving what we do and doing what we love.
